Women’s Pathway to Success Leadership Circle

AWF’s Women’s Pathway to Success Program is a transformative program that has already resulted in job creation, reduction in poverty, and elimination of barriers to employment for women in metro Atlanta. Investing in women achieves lasting returns for families and communities.

Now in its second year, AWF, via the Women’s Pathway to Success Program, will again award ten nonprofit organizations $50,000 annually (2018-2021) to provide the critical combination of services needed to move women to economic self-sufficiency. This combination of services includes workforce development, financial literacy, microfinance opportunities, and childcare scholarships for women at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.

In addition to providing the ten nonprofit organizations with funding, AWF will also apply a collective impact approach to the program. This collective impact model involves a structured process that leads to a common agenda, shared measurement system, and continuous communication among the cohort of grantees that provide the services. The goal of the collective impact approach is to create large scale community change. AWF’s approach as a central connection for nonprofits has proven to be best practice and reliable in achieving exponential community impact.

Because we know that when women are gainfully employed with living wage jobs and have access to quality, affordable childcare, their opportunities for success are limitless.

Women in Law is the Atlanta legal community’s annual fundraiser to support the work of The Atlanta Women’s Foundation. The event attracts several hundred people who are interested in creating a healthier community by lifting up women and girls. The funds raised will support AWF’s mission to lead women and girls from poverty to prosperity.

The Women in Law reception is held annually in May or June. For questions or information on sponsorship opportunities, please contact Kari Love at klove@atlantawomen.org.
