Briefly describe the organization’s primary programs and activities.
Comunidad Connect promotes cultural exchange and responsible community development by hosting groups of volunteers and managing ongoing social programs throughout the year. Our programs focus on health, youth and economic development. Activities include community service, household improvements, provision of appropriate technology like point of use water filtration systems, organized youth sports, and social enterprise development. We work to reduce poverty in Nicaragua and to transform the worldview of everyone involved in the process.

Will the board face any special circumstances in the next year or two (endowment campaigns, executive transitions, etc.)?
We are looking to fill the position of Treasurer, which participates in the Executive Committee. Co-Founder, and current Treasurer, is transitioning out of the organization at the end of 2017.

Is there any additional information you would like to provide?
Although not requirements, experience in and passion for Latin/Central America is preferred and ability to speak Spanish is preferred, particularly for the Treasurer.
